Camcycle AGM speaker announcement – Lily Macfadyen Tomson

Our third speaker for our AGM ‘Winning hearts and minds’ panel is Lily Macfadyen Tomson.

Lily Macfadyen Tomson, a Cambridge University graduate, local resident and everyday cyclist, is a Network Manager at the Charities Responsible Investment Network for ShareAction where she supports charities with investments to align their investment strategy with their charitable objects. She is also the Development Manager at Cambridge Hub which transforms University of Cambridge students’ involvement in social and environmental challenges through volunteering and skilled placements. Through this, she also works on Activate, a change workshop series by and for young people. If that wasn’t enough, Lily is also a director at Positive Money, a campaign for a money and banking system that supports a fair, sustainable and democratic economy.

We think there will be a lot to learn from Lily’s insights about what inspires young people and students to work for change, the skills they can bring to campaigning and how campaigning organisations can support their involvement. We’re also keen to hear about Lily’s experience from campaigning for other causes.

The Camcycle AGM will be held from 10.30am to 2pm on Saturday, 19 January 2019 at Clay Farm Community Centre in Trumpington, just off the Busway cycleway. Our AGM is free to attend and all are welcome, but please register in advance to help us plan.
