Elections
Welcome to Camcycle's elections section, which profiles what candidates standing in the elections are saying about cycling and walking issues. Use your vote to raise the profile of active travel in this region.
For our 2023 survey, questions will be compiled for candidates across six different elections in Cambridgeshire: Cambridge City Council, East Cambridgeshire District Council, Fenland District Council, Peterborough City Council, and the Arbury and Soham South & Haddenham by-elections. Questions are being prepared with the help of Camcycle members and local groups across the county including Sustrans, Peterborough Cycle Forum, CTC Cambridge and Ely Cycling Campaign.
We make every effort to contact all election candidates (via political party administrators where relevant and also through social media and other public channels) and invite them to participate in the survey. Once we have candidate contact details, we will send them a short list of questions to find out what they think about improving provision for cycling in and around their area.
Responses will be published on Thursday 20 April 2023 and can be viewed within these pages.
If you are a candidate in the forthcoming elections, please see our FAQs for candidates or email us: contact@camcycle.org.uk
