Weekly update – 28th October

This week:

  • Chisholm Trail debate
  • Cam Ride Home
  • Participate in a focus group about Camcycle membership
  • Requests for volunteers

Update on the Chisholm Trail

Several Camcycle representatives argued for the Chisholm Trail planning application at the Joint Development Control Committee on Wednesday. A huge thank you to Al Storer for taking the lead with preparing the petition, the presentation and the debate.

A report from the debate will be used to inform the Chisholm Planning application decision which will now be made in January 2017. We will keep you posted.

Focus group for insights on Camcycle membership

Camcycle is working with students from Cambridge University as part of the Social Innovation Programme. The students are providing consulting advice to us and will be making recommendations for how we can increase our membership numbers.

To assist with this project the students will undertake a number of activities including a focus group and survey. We are asking members to participate in the focus group and share their thoughts about being a member of Camcycle. Please reply to this email if you wish to participate.

We want a diversity of participants, not just those who are heavily involved in our campaigning activities and we are also interested in hearing from people who are not members. If you know someone who should be a member but isn't, please ask them to get in touch.
