Our response to the Huntingdon Road Cycleways Phase 2 consultation
We've responded to the Cambridgeshire County Council's Huntingdon Road Cycleways Phase 2 consultation.
We have examined the options and have concerns about all of the proposed changes, but over- all we feel that Option 2, with the necessary modifications that we will outline, is the preferred alternative. We also believe it is important for this consultation to be coordinated with the City Deal Histon Road consultation as they touch the same junction.
You can read our response on our blog.
Consultations we are working on
Cambridgeshire County Council are now consulting on proposals to allow cyclists to travel both ways on most of the remaining one-way streets in Romsey and Petersfield. Read more on our blog.
The Greater Cambridge City Deal has pledged to improve transport links on the A1307 between Cambridge and Haverhill, providing better travel options for commuters to Granta Park, Babraham Research Campus and Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
A number of public consultation events have been planned. Consultation closes on the 1st of August. You can read more on the City Deal website.
Yet another application has been made for this controversial site. Consultation closes soon (6th July) and we need help to scrutinise the application. Please reply to this email or respond to the Cyclescape thread if you can help.

21st July: Public meeting about the North Pole / Parker's Piece Ice Rink – Guildhall from 6:00 pm.
As the weather warms up the fairs, fêtes and festivals begin. One of our most important activities is attending these events so that we can discuss cycling and relevant issues with the community. This is a great opportunity to volunteer. It is a fun day or even just a fun hour and a great way to meet like-minded people. Reply to this email if you are interested. The next event is the Histon & Impington Feast Festival on the 9th of July.
