Weekly update – 15th January

Here is this week's Cambridge Cycling Campaign activity update.

CITY DEAL CONSULTATIONS

The Milton Road, Histon Road and Cross City Cycling consultations continue. More information and the online surveys can be found at http://www.gccitydeal.co.uk.

To deal with the volume of work required to respond to these planning applications we have established sub-groups to meet and work on our responses. If you would like to be involved please send an email.

WHAT'S HOT THIS WEEK

Tins Path danger in Winter:

Please note that The Tins path bridge (over the railway line) is very dangerous when icy, particularly the steep section on the town side of the bridge. There is also a problem with accumulated leaves along the path which makes it very slippery when wet.

We have raised this with both the City and County councils and await their response. We will continue to provide updates in the Cyclescape thread.http://camcycle.cyclescape.org/threads/2274

Would a tidal-flow bus lane work on Milton Road?

We are proposing a tidal-flow bus lane for Milton Road. Learn more about this idea and contribute your ideas at http://camcycle.cyclescape.org/threads/2233

Cambridge Speedwatch:

Local Police are setting up a Cambridge Speedwatch campaign and looking for interested volunteers. Find out more http://camcycle.cyclescape.org/threads/1750
