Weekly update – 8th January

Happy New Year! 2016 has barely begun and we are already busy with a number of consultations.

Our January monthly meeting with guest speaker, author, Rachel Smith, was a great success. Attendees to the standing-room only meeting included a number of County and City councillors. The exceptional turn out showing the clear interest in ways to 'decongest' Cambridge.

Please email ‘contact@camcycle.org.uk’ if you would like a copy of Rachel’s e-book “Decongestion – 7 steps for mayors and other city leaders to cut traffic congestion without the expense of new roads or annoyed residents”.

There are currently seven open consultations for the City Deal, all of which close on the 15th of February. In addition to our Campaign response, you can also respond via the consultation surveys which can be accessed online at http://www.gccitydeal.co.uk. Further information can also be found on the same site. There are also a number of public exhibitions with the dates provided below.

To deal with the volume of work required to respond to these planning applications we have established sub-groups to meet and work on our responses. If you would like to be involved please send an email.
