The role of micromobility with John Hamer from Voi

Founded in 2018, Voi is a carbon-neutral urban mobility company offering shared transport schemes across 11 countries. They believe e-scooters can play a central role in changing how people move around our cities and reducing transport emissions.

A trial scheme of Voi e-scooters launched in Cambridgeshire in October 2020 as part of the county’s pandemic response, with shared e-bikes joining the trial in January 2021. John Hamer, City Success Manager for Cambridge and Peterborough, talks through Voi’s operations in Cambridgeshire and across the UK. He answers questions from Camcycle members and supporters on topics including safe parking of scooters,

The meeting also includes a short round-up of the latest Camcycle news and campaigning issues from our Executive Director Roxanne De Beaux.

This meeting was originally held on our Facebook channel and is also available to view on YouTube.

The next Camcycle meeting will be held online on Tuesday 1 June, when we’ll be joined by Mike Davies, Transport Manager for the University of Cambridge Sustainability Team who will be talking about the university’s programme to increase levels of active travel.
