The Abbey-Chesterton bridge planning application will be decided at the Planning Committee meeting on 16 February. We encourage our members to attend the meeting to show their support for the Bridge. The reports are now available and we will are discussing the details on Cyclescape 1896.
The application for Phase 1 of the Trail will be decided in March.
e-Luminate Festival tomorrow
Join us at 6.30 pm on Friday evening in front of the Guildhall for the e-Luminate bike parade. You will need to bring your own bike decorated with fairy lights etc.
Camcycle will be participating in a bike parade for the e-Luminate Cambridge Festival opening ceremony on Friday 10 February, The parade will be led by former Paralympian Dan Gordon and we will be joining Camsight tandem riders and specially modified festival bikes with lighting displays.
The aim of the parade is to celebrate safe cycling and the importance of using lights when cycling at night, as well as equality and diversity.
Treasury protest calling for increased investment in cycling
Stop Killing Cyclists have organised a protest in London to call for increased investment in cycling. Protesters will assemble at the National Gallery from 1 pm and proceed to the rally outside the Treasury on Horseguards Parade at 2 pm. You can get more information on Facebook or read more here.
Milton Road campaigning
We are planning some leafleting events at the Science Park to promote our proposals for a 'Do-optimum' approach to Milton Road. Please get in touch if you would like to help. Cyclescape 3024
Midsummer Common path now open
After a few months of construction work, the widened and improved Midsummer Common path leading to and from the Cutter Ferry bridge is now open. Cyclescape 1555
