Abbey-Chesterton bridge approved
We're pleased to announce the approval of the planning application for the Abbey-Chesterton bridge by the County Council Planning Committee. The bridge will be a crucial link to the Cambridge North station and will be a key part of the Chisholm Trail.
The application for Phase 1 of the Trail will be decided on 15 March at the Joint Development Control Committee.
Milton Road campaigning
We are planning some leafleting events around the Science Park and other local areas to promote the Milton Road Alliance proposals for a 'Do-optimum' approach to Milton Road.
The first event will be outside the Coop on Milton Road near Arbury Road at 2 pm on Sunday 19 February.
Please get in touch if you would like to help at this or future events. Cyclescape 3024
*We've just had news today that the City Deal has removed Milton Road from the March agenda and rescheduled it for the June round of City Deal meetings. We will keep members informed as we learn more.*
Cambridge North station developments
Plans have been presented for the buildings around the Cambridge North station square including a hotel and office block. We are discussing these plans and our concerns for cycling routes and access through the development. Cyclescape 118
Independent Examiner for Accounts needed
Are you an accountant who would like to help the campaign?
As a small charity, we need to appoint an 'independent examiner' to review our published accounts and report whether any problems are found. We would like to find a volunteer to do this – a qualified accountant with some experience of audit would be ideal. A member or supporter will likely be independent if they haven't been involved in managing the campaign.
If you are interested, please contact Chris Howell on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We always welcome contributions to our bi-monthly print newsletter. The next copy deadline is 26 February.
We are also looking for a volunteer to help with Newsletter layout.
