Parliamentary inquiry: Disability and the built environment

We have just sent our response to the current Parliamentary inquiry into 'Disability and the built environment'. Our main points are:

  • Many disabled people can and do use a cycle, either a standard bicycle or an alternative such as a tricycle or handcycle
  • Cycling facilities should be separated from both motor traffic and pedestrians
  • Well-designed cycle routes are also useful for users of electric mobility scooters
