Outspoken Summer Cycling Party
Outspoken are celebrating the opening of their new Bike Depot with a summer cycling party. We will be there with our new-look stall bike. There will also be Food by Jack (Jack's Gelato), BlackBar brewery and a free Dr Bike. Find out more here: www.outspokencycles.co.uk/outspokens-summer-cycling-party
Consultations we are working on
Chisholm Trail – Abbey-Chesterton Bridge planning application:
We encourage members to submit comments in support of the planning application for the Abbey-Chesterton pedestrian and cycle bridge over the River Cam as well as the Chisholm Trail Phase One planning application.
The planning application for the bridge can be found on the County Council planning application website. Unfortunately the application for the Chisholm Trail is not yet available online. We will share the link when we know more.
Comments must be submitted by the 18th of August and you can email them to: email@example.com
Queen Edith's Way walking and cycling improvements
We welcomed the proposed design for the roundabout and have made some suggestions on how it could be further improved. We also expressed a desire for further segregation of the cycle lanes along the road. Further details are in our written response available on our website.
City Deal A1307 consultation
We submitted our response to the City Deal A1307 consultation which is exploring concepts for various bus, cycling and walking improvements in and around the A1307
We extended our support for proposed cycling improvements as part of this project. We are particularly interested in the off-highway options, Concept 3A and Concept 3D from the Draft Concept Report, and reuse of the dismantled railway corridor.
We believe that the off-highway options are superior because the A1307 is an unpleasant corridor for unprotected, vulnerable road users, even with a separate path.
Don't forget these consultations:

Collaboration with local artists and photographers
We are planning to produce and sell gift cards and postcards to raise funds for our campaigning activities and we would like to collaborate with local artists and photographers to create the imagery. Please get in touch if you or someone you know would like to work with us on this project.
