Consultations we are working on

Chisholm Trail: Abbey-Chesterton Bridge planning application

The planning application for the Abbey-Chesterton pedestrian and cycle bridge over the River Cam has now been submitted. You can view the planning application on the County Council planning website. The reference number is C/5005/16/CC.

Comments must be submitted by the 1st of August.

City Deal consultation: Tackling peak-time congestion in Cambridge

The City Deal have published information about their eight-point package to tackle congestion in Cambridge. Their proposals aim to transform people’s ability to travel into, out of and around Cambridge by providing more efficient, safe and reliable capacity for travel, without the need to get in a car. The consultation runs until the 10th of October and includes a survey and public events. You can find out more at: http://www.gccitydeal.co.uk/congestion

There is a lot involved in these proposals including:

  • Better bus services and expanded use of Park & Ride
  • Better pedestrian and cycling infrastructure
  • Improved public space and air quality
  • Peak-time Congestion Control Points (PCCPs)
  • A Workplace Parking Levy
  • On-street parking controls
  • Smart technology
  • Travel planning

Search for photos and illustrations of Cambridge cycling culture

We are planning to produce and sell gift cards and postcards to raise funds for our campaigning activities and are asking for submissions of photos and illustrations that we could use. Please get in touch if you or someone you know would like to work with us on this project.

21st July: Public meeting about the North Pole / Parker's Piece Ice RinkGuildhall from 6:00 pm.

2nd August: Monthly Meeting – We will be visited by the Guerilla Groundsman, known for his 'random acts of tidying'.

15th August: Campaign Social Gathering – Join us for a social gathering at CB2 cafe, 5-7 Norfolk Street – from 7pm.
