Consultations we are working on
We are studying the proposals from Cambridgeshire County Council for improvements to Queen Edith's Way. These are being discussed on Cyclescape so do add your views, particularly if you are familiar with the area.
Cambridgeshire County Council are also consulting on proposals for a Cycleway on Trumpington Road, which we broadly support. Project Officers will be available to discuss the proposals at informal events: Wednesday 29 June 4.30-7.30pm Tuesday 12 July 5.30-8.30pm Both events will take place at the Royal Cambridge Hotel, Trumpington Road, Cambridge, CB2 1PY The consultation closes on 25th July.
Finally, the Councils consultation on Huntingdon Road phase 2 cycleways closes today, Monday 27th June. Please remember to make your own personal responses if you read this in time.
2nd July: Maintenance Bicycle Wheel Building Workshop – This is a practical course where you learn how to build strong and durable bicycle wheels. Beginners welcome. Master a new skill in a controlled supportive environment. Places restricted to ensure high student-teacher ratio. All equipment provided. More information and enrollment: www.cambridgewheelbuilding.co.uk
5th July: Our Monthly Meeting – Focus on the City Deal. Join us at the Friends' Meeting House from 7:30 for an 8pm start.
9th July Histon & Impington Feast Festival – We have a stall and need volunteers to run it, talking about what the Campaign does. Even an hour on the stall helps maintain a presence all day. Volunteer on the Histon & Impington Feast thread.
