SATURDAY 20 JANUARY, 2024
2-5pm, Storey’s Field Centre (Main Hall)
Join us at Camcycle’s 2024 AGM for an afternoon of campaigning celebration and inspiration!
We are excited to announce that we will be joined by two guest speakers this year: Yo Higton, Active Travel Lead at the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, and Matt Barber, Sustrans’ Head of Partnerships for the Midlands and East. Yo and Matt will talk about some of their current active travel projects and their vision for walking, wheeling and cycling in our region.
The AGM will also review our year, look forward to the campaigns ahead, and present Camcycle awards to the amazing people who’ve made a difference in 2023. Everybody is welcome to attend, but registration is essential.
(Camcycle members must register before midnight on Wednesday 17 January 2024 if they wish to vote in the elections.)

What happens at the formal part of a Camcycle AGM?
The AGM is a chance for members to have their say on the running of our charity, to vote nominated trustees onto our board and to bring motions for discussion. You can find further information about our board of trustees online including how to nominate someone (including yourself).
To ensure that we have time to prepare for the meeting and share important information with Camcycle members, the deadline for trustee nominations and motions is 9am on Thursday 14 December 2023.
How does the voting system work?
If you wish to vote for trustees and on any motions which arise, you will need to be a Camcycle member. Online voting for trustees and motions will open in the week beginning Monday 15 January and close at 6pm on Saturday 20 January. We will publish trustee biographies and motion background at the same time as online voting opens, and members booked for the AGM will be sent an email with their unique voting link.
In 2024, we will be trialling a hybrid voting system to enable as many members as possible to participate in setting the direction of our organisation. Online voting will be open to members booked for the AGM. Please make sure your email details are up-to-date and that you register for the AGM with the same email address which we have on your membership record. If you aren’t sure, please get in touch via contact @camcycle.org.uk
We will offer paper ballots at the AGM for those who need them, although we strongly encourage members to vote online. If you cannot attend the AGM and cannot vote online, please get in touch and we will arrange for you to receive and submit a paper ballot. Unless returned at the AGM, all paper ballots must be received at the Camcycle office by noon on Thursday 18 January.
Can I nominate someone for a Camcycle award?
Yes please! Each year, our awards aim to reflect the time and energy given by a range of people whose contributions help to result in more, better and safer cycling in our region – whether through volunteering or their paid work. Please let us know via email@example.com if you would like to suggest someone, stating their full name and your reasons for nominating them. The deadline for trustee nominations is 9am on Thursday 14 December 2023 and you can find out more about Camcycle trusteeship or download our nomination form any time.
How can I help with the AGM?
We welcome contributions of cakes and biscuits for our tea break (please ensure you bring a list of ingredients). Get in contact if you can bring some baked goods.
