Trishaws poised to hit Cambridge streets?

Cycling advocates Christoph Fitih and Thomas Jenner are hoping to set up a trishaw operation in Cambridge to provide an emission-free transport service primarily aimed at tourists. Although currently only at the planning stage, they have the support of Margaret Wright, chairperson of the Green Party in Cambridge, and they are actively seeking advice from other successful trishaw operations around the country.

Christoph is enthusiastic about their venture, claiming research has shown that local people are in favour of the move as Cambridge is one of the most congested cities in the country. As he says, ‘Cambridge is the perfect location for such a project.’
