|Mowbray Road (which runs between the Cherry Hinton Road roundabout by Budgens to the Queen Edith’s Way roundabout near Addenbrooke’s) was resurfaced in early July. When the markings were reinstated, the contractors mistakenly replaced the already very narrow cycle lanes with absurdly tiny ones. 2 km of lanes only 67 cm wide were created. They should have been reinstated at their luxurious prior width of 80 cm by the time you read this. Many of us think narrow lanes are more hazardous than no lane at all, and offer no advantage where there is no serious traffic queuing, as on this road
