Burleigh Street Ban

The subgroup has now officially lodged a letter setting out the Campaign’s reasons against the ban. You may remember from the last newsletter, there were essentially that the ban

  • is against Department of Transport recommendations
  • is inconsistent with the Council’s own policy elsewhere
  • has no satisfactory alternative routes
  • can’t be justified on safety grounds
