A few newsletters ago, we mentioned the possibility of a combined fact-finding mission and holiday in the Netherlands. Well, flushed with the success of National Bike Week, we’re preparing to go ahead with the Dutch trip.
We’ve chosen to go to the city of Groningen, which has an unparalleled reputation for its cycling conditions and transport in general, and many similarities with Cambridge, as a historic university town. We’re planning to travel on the evening of Friday 26 September and return on Sunday 28, and we’ll hire bikes over there. As well as being a fun trip, it should be inspirational – and full of ideas for Cambridge.
We’re inviting Campaign members to join us. Do get in touch with me or Nigel Deakin if you’d like to know more.
