To encourage more girls and women to take up cycling, a large group of female cyclists of all ages (and a few men too!) dressed up (or down) in their most stylish clothes for a fashion cycle ride around Cambridge on Saturday 20 March, 2010.

The second Fashion Cycle Ride took place on Sunday 20 June, at the end of Bike Week. The ride aimed to normalise the image of cycling by showing that you can get around on a bike in normal clothes. Participants cycled on a route around the city centre and finished with a picnic on Parker’s Piece.
