Camcycle paid internship 2024: Join us as our Digital Communications Intern

APPLICATIONS OPEN: Digital communications internship

Applications close: 9am on Wednesday 29 May, 2024
Start & end date: Flexible, within Summer 2024

Our paid internship is back this summer and we are excited to hear from social media and communications superstars in the making who are excited to take on a role with lots of responsibility and opportunity. Our successful digital communications intern will be passionate about everyday cycling and keen to develop their skills and experience to prepare them for future career opportunities. We expect our internship to be at least an eight-week programme, although we can be flexible with working hours and start date to ensure this internship is open to as many candidates as possible. A part-time internship can run for more weeks if needed.

Our digital communication intern will report to our Head of Campaigns and Engagement Anna Williams, and will also work with our CEO, our staff team and our dedicated team of volunteers to plan, manage and deliver digital content for the Cambridge Festival of Cycling, our Zero Carbon Streets campaign and in support of our general work. This role will encourage more people to attend our events, celebrate the cycling culture in Cambridge and enable more community involvement in consultations ultimately resulting in more, better and safer cycling for those living and working in the Cambridgeshire region.

We’re dedicated to providing an internship programme of a high standard that will be beneficial for the intern’s professional development. As a charitable organisation, we believe it is important that any internship we offer should be paid, high-quality, open and accessible. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. You do not need to be a university student or graduate.

Our intern will be a valuable contributor to our team and we look forward to their work making a real impact on our goals.

What’s great about this internship, compared with others that I looked at, is that you get such a broad range of tasks and you meet you such a broad range of people. And because it’s such a small organisation, you get a lot of responsibility. I feel so fulfilled and satisfied from the work that I’ve done, because I’ve really got into the community and made a difference.”
