Living Sport are funding 6 adult cycling sessions on All Ability Bikes for people who would like to gain cycle confidence in an off road facility – Milton Country Park You Can Bike Too is hosting these sessions. Mon 28 External meeting Cyclestreets talk to Green Enterprise
7.30-9.30pm. Martin Lucas-Smith will share CycleStreets’ story and the latest developments. CycleStreets is the UK’s best cycle journey planner, designed by cyclists for cyclists. Having started as a journey planner launched by Cambridge Cycling Campaign in 2006, its now acclaimed nationwide and run as a not-for profit company. It will be particularly interesting to hear how they encourage and manage the many volunteers involved, while also developing a professional service that’s getting increasing commercial interest. As usual in Green-enterprise events, the evening will be participative and will include plenty of time for discussion with the speaker and other participants. Cost £5.

Representatives of all parties have been invited to attend. The hustings will only cover Highways and Transport issues, with a focus on cycling. The candidates will initially have an opportunity for a short statement, followed by a question and answer session. The meeting will be chaired by TBD. The public is most welcome to attend. Access Walden is campaigning for a safe cycle path along Wenden Road from Audley End station into Saffron Walden. They are holding their second ‘Ramble & Ride’ day between 11 & 2pm, when Wenden Road will be closed to motor traffic.
