Question 6 - we asked:

How would you improve access to the railway station at Waterbeach?

We asked this question only in Histon & Impington.

3 of the 4 candidates (75%) who were asked this question responded as below.

Those candidate(s) which were elected are highlighted.

Darren COTTERELL
(Green Party)

There are lots of things that could be done, but what immediately comes to mind is; a cycle path adjacent to the A10, a foot/cycle bridge or underpass from Landbeach to Waterbeach over/under the A10 to ease crossing when coming from Histon/Cottenham. Make the tow-path along the river from Cambridge to Waterbeach more cycle friendly as in its current state it's only suitable for off-road bikes.

Aga CAHN
(Labour Party)

From Histon and Impington would be much simpler to go to the new station at Cambridge Science Park.

Yemi MACAULAY
(Liberal Democrat)

Create more cycle routes from adjoining villages and streets and create more signs direction to the station. Have more cycle racks at the station where bikes can be safe and secure.

Camcycle is a non-partisan body. All candidates are given an equal opportunity to submit their views. Information published by Camcycle (Cambridge Cycling Campaign), The Bike Depot, 140 Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0DL.
