Question 4 - we asked:

How would you improve the cycle route from Waterbeach to Cambridge?

We asked this question only in Milton.

2 of the 4 candidates (50%) who were asked this question responded as below.

Those candidate(s) which were elected are highlighted.

Alison WOOD
(Labour Party)

It depends on people's destinations. People cycling to the Science Park need the main road through Milton better defined for cyclists by resurfacing the cycle lane in red tarmac, then they can use the Coston bridge over the A14. Alternative routes are the riverside footpath from Clayhithe Bridge to Chesterton/Riverside or the road through Clayhithe, Horningsea & Fen Ditton to Newmarket Road. Making more using of droves and lanes away from the busiest routes for cars and heavy goods vehicles/buses could be a possibility.

John WILSON
(UK Independence Party)

I have not had sufficient time to evaluate the options from waterbeach.
