Question 11 - we asked:

Advanced Stop Lines (ASLs), a red area for cyclists in front of a traffic light, improve cycle safety by improving visibility of cyclists at junctions. Do you support the presumption that new junctions should include ASLs, and that existing ones should be upgraded and always coloured?

We asked this question in these 3 wards: Castle, Histon & Impington, Newnham.

4 of the 11 candidates (36%) who were asked this question responded as below.

Stephen Roger LAWRENCE
(Green Party)

Yes to all

Jonathan Peter CHATFIELD
(Liberal Democrat)

Yes. All new junctions should include coloured ASLs and the police should be prepared to enforce them! Existing ones should be upgraded.

Julie Elizabeth SMITH
(Liberal Democrat)
