As you may have heard, the Tour de France is coming to Cambridge.
Michael Cahn, Co-ordinator of Cambridge Cycling Campaign, said:
It is very appropriate that the foremost cycling event is coming to the city which has the highest rate of cycling in the UK.
The competition celebrates the great benefits of cycling for environment and public health. It also allows us to highlight that our road network needs to become more welcoming for cyclists of all abilities, old and young, male and female, fast and slow.
Speed is not of the essence. We work towards better, safe and more cycling, and we are happy to have a leisurely Tour de Frace in Cambridge every day of the year.
