Gonville Place: new toucan crossing needs to be fixed urgently

This new crossing presents a series of problems for walkers/cyclists, and contains many basic design errors. Not only is the crossing narrower, it is surrounded by bollards and obstructions, and the automatic detection loops have been disabled. We have sent a letter cataloguing the problems with the design and process that lead to the new crossing, which was nodded through unanimously by Councillors from all political parties on the transport committee.
