Helmet Bill

A bill concerning compulsion (rather than the use of helmets per se) was debated by a small number of MPs and returns on 18th June but is apparently unlikely to receive any parliamentary time. The Department for Transport has responded with its views, stating “Our position remains that compulsion at current wearing rates would cause enforcement difficulties and could have an effect on cycling levels”.
