Bike marking with Cambridgeshire Police

Bike Marking with the police in Cambridge Market SquareIn an effort to help fight cycle crime, Camcycle and Cambridgeshire Police have joined forces to get as many bikes marked as possible. Registering your bike is an easy way of deterring thieves and, if your bike is stolen and recovered by the police, registration helps them to prove ownership, return your bike to you and prosecute the thief.

How can I help?

Are you willing to volunteer some time to support our work on the prevention of cycle crime? Volunteers typically sign up for 1-2 hours to help at our bike marking events and you can register to join our cycle marking volunteers online.

If you’re a school, business or other community group, please get in touch to find out how to help your people get their bikes marked, either through sponsorship or hosting your own event: contact@camcycle.org.uk

If you’ve been a victim of cycle theft and had your bike returned thanks to the bike marking initiative, please get in touch and tell us about it via: contact@camcycle.org.uk

Finally, you can help publicise these events by sharing the details with friends, neighbours and colleagues!
