We’re hiring! Are you our new Communications and Community Officer?

A chance to make your mark as the second of only two employees working with our volunteers for more, better and safer cycling in Cambridge, the cycling capital of the UK.

This is a broad role with ownership and responsibility from day one. Digital, written and in-person communications will be a central part of all activities dealing with volunteers, members, councillors, stakeholders. Through your transformative work, you will help us to increase our membership numbers, improve our relationships with local business and increase the effectiveness of our communications with numerous stakeholder groups.

You will also help us to grow our community of volunteers with events and support for their activities and campaigns.

This role will appeal to someone who is passionate about everyday cycling and who understands the many benefits sustainable travel can provide for our environment and community. You will need to be savvy with technology, a problem-solver and a quick, self-directed learner. This is a fast-paced environment and priorities may change quickly as we respond to campaigning issues.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, provided you can demonstrate you have researched what we do and you can provide us with compelling evidence of how you can help us achieve our mission by emailing us your CV and a cover letter to contact@camcycle.org.uk.

Hours are flexible and will include work in the evening or weekends. Our job description is based on a 37.5 hour week but we are open to discussions about more flexible options.

Our office is based a short walk (or cycle) from the Cambridge North station.

The closing date for applications is 5 pm, 23 February.

We are aiming to schedule interviews on 21, 28 March and 4 April (Final interviews).
