These standards have now been superceded by new ones but are retained here online for the purposes of comparison.

Residential use

Offices, R&D and light industrial
1 per 30 m2 GFA

Clinics and surgeries
2 per consulting room plus
1 per professional member of staff
Educational institutions, excluding residential
cycle spaces for 30% of children between 5 and 12 years old

1 per 7.5 m2 public floor space
