Burleigh Street Ban
The subgroup has now officially lodged a letter setting out the Campaign's reasons against the ban. You may remember from the last newsletter, there were essentially that the ban
- is against Department of Transport recommendations
- is inconsistent with the Council's own policy elsewhere
- has no satisfactory alternative routes
- can't be justified on safety grounds
We'll let you know when this matter goes to committee in the new year. And see below for details of January's meeting when we'll be discussing this and the city centre ban.
