Can you help Cambridge Cycling Campaign?

Cambridge Cycling Campaign is a voluntary organsiation. And like most, a lot of the work ends up being done by relatively few people. So we are always looking for willing hands.

Some projects simply require time, others require more specialised skills, or even imagination or creativity.

Campaign Market Stall

We run a stall in Cambridge Market Square virtually every Saturday, from around 10:30am to noon, to publicise the Campaign, and sell T-shirts etc.

Volunteers to help for an hour on the stall are always very welcome. No special skills are needed - just a willingness to listen to people. You won't be on your own - and we have plenty of information to answer many of the questions that are asked.

Recruit a friend

Membership raises funds to support our work and keeps members informed of what's going on in and around the City from a cycling point of view.

Tell a friend why you belong to Cambridge Cycling Campaign - and what it means to you! You can collect membership forms from our Saturday stall in Cambridge Market Square, or print them from the website.

Can you put up a poster somewhere it may be seen: a noticeboard at work perhaps? Please print and display this poster [30 KB PDF].

Can you spare us an hour or two to go round shops and cafés in the City Centre with posters, membership forms, etc?

Meetings and consultations

Come to some of our meetings and events and make a contribution to what we tell the Councils and others about what they are proposing and what they need to do. General meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at the Friends Meeting House on Jesus Lane. 7.30pm for 8pm.

Help in a subgroup

Much of the detailed work of the Campaign is done in subgroups looking at specific topics. Arrangements are flexible, and there's lots of different jobs need doing, depending on the nature of the group, from writing reports to counting traffic.

Share resources

Do you have access to cheap photocopying, or could you spend an hour or two standing over a photocopier when necessary? Do you have any specialized skills, such as working with the press, graphic design, journalism, computing? Do you have a digital camera?

Lead rides

With around 18 leisurely rides a year on Sundays, we are always in need of volunteers to plan a route and guide people around it.
