Shepreth Wildlife Park makes an excellent family day out destination from Cambridge. Compact, full of interest, good cafe, and right by the rail station if you don't fancy riding home.

Old Roman Road going from Chilford Hall to Cambridge. The landscape is so beautiful that it is surprising how few people are using this way. Though the path could be less bumpy and a bit wider for a more comfortable ride.
