Crossing over A290 from Bogshole Lane on the east to Pye Alley Lane on the west is blind. Plus there's an upward incline for the last few metres where Bogshole Lane meets the A290. Traffic on the A290 often exceeds the 40mph speed limit.

Cushing's Walk is good as a cycle cut-through.

Stream Walk pedestrian and cycle route. Passes beneath the railway. Steps approx 100 metres to the east on the south side of the railway. Continue south on Stream Walk onto Old Bridge Road in order to avoid these.
