It seems a bit counter-intuituve somehow - cycling to the end of a jetty, carrying your bike down to a pontoon, parking it there and going to work on a boat (Colonia, Uruguay).

Despite appearances, this is not a cycle track crossing the side road, though one is badly needed on this traffic-dominated one-way avenue (photo taken on a Saturday morning - it's usually much busier).
