This isn't a new bus lane any more is it? So the sign should come down. The City Council apparantly has a budget specifically to take down signs that are not any use any more. Photo #5830 shows this sign in 2004

Not a good photo, but indicative of the problems with German cyclepaths. Too narrow, huge gates to stop bikes getting on them etc. A bit like England, though with rather more of a comprehensive network, and nothing like the way the Dutch do ... [more]
A short trip over the border into Germany. Cyclepaths here are narrow and badly surfaced, so it is hardly surprising that cars are so much more popular than bikes.
Presumably not intended as one of the new speed humps on Luard Road, but it has much the same effect.
Amazing! Someone has stopped to unload on Bateman Street without blocking the contraflow cycle lane.
Cycle lane ends abruptly on A134, meaning cyclist must feed into traffic between a bus lane and the road.
