Path near sound mirror very narrow - good to pick up speed for the hill in the distance but surface is a bit rough and there is usually people/bikes to avoid coming in the opposite direction

Lots of private roads in Walton on Thames - cycling is permitted, but you often have to go round the barriers on the footway.

Walton centre - newly redeveloped. A strong hint to leave bikes at the entrance, though there are no signs saying cycling is banned.

Walton Bridge - cyclists can use the old bridge across the Thames, but have to use the busy carriageway across the dry bridge immediately southeast. To be changed, perhaps, when the new bridge is built.

Walton Bridge Road - a major bottleneck. Cyclists can use the old bridge to the east. A major new bridge is planned, presumably with some kind of cycle facilities.

Walton Lane - a contraflow cycle track leading to Walton Bridge, not signposted from Shepperton.

The Thames Path crosses the river by ferry from Shepperton to Weybridge

Thames Path cycle route at start of Shepperton bypass.

Thames Path cycling route following the Chertsey Road on shared-use path for quite a way.

But I've just come from Staines - is the sign the wrong way around?

Thames Path south/east from Staines.

Start of Thames Path south/east from Staines

Staines - cycle route from the train station to the bus station (under the bridge)

Station Path, Staines - from the station to the town centre

A surprising amount of convertible space in SouthWest Trains 'Juniper' trains on the Waterloo-Reading line - although external marking is for wheelchairs only, not bikes.

Riverside cycle path through Castle Park, Bristol

More sensible signage for a pedestrian area in Bristol than in Cambridge?

A newsletter review meeting in full swing (well two others have already left) at Tatties.

Tatties - location for newsletter review meetings.

Looking out onto Hills Road from Tatties, where Newsletter Review meetings are held.
