Ilkley Railway Station Class 333 Train capable of taking 2 bikes usually has a lot more

A Sustrans mile post on probably Britain's highest cycle path. The old A74 was a dual carriageway. After the motorway was built this was reduced to a single carriageway plus an excellent cycle path. It's very remote. The sign reads "12M to ... [more]

Typically insecure, but ornate, cycle parking outside a Cambridge college.

These cycle lanes outside the Botanic Gardens are simply dangerous (and should be removed), due to the danger of car doors being carelessly opened. Most cyclists are unaware of the potential danger here.

Bumper-to-bumper residential car parking available, but not a spot of residential cycle parking, with bikes parked insecurely against very many houses here.

Why is parking free on Sundays?

Yet another excellent example of how cyclists face real problems on East Road. The silver vehicle should not have attempted to overtake the lady on the bicycle, who is faced with blockage by the red car. Parking/stopping along this stretch ... [more]

Ideal spot outside the Dobbler's Inn for cycle parking. The yellow lines on the left towards the red car are routinely parked on illegally. On-street cycle parking is needed in the area, and that would prevent illegal parking while maintain ... [more]

Part of a very useful route for cyclists to the Beehive Centre, but the surfacing here is appaling, after years of unco-ordinated utility works.

Why bother putting in expensive traffic calming if you aren't going to sharpen the curve, so that pedestrians can cross more easily and that cars automatically slow down.

Cyclists swerving round a parked car. Another car that has parked (legally) while the single yellow line is not in force has decided to u-turn out to save a minute or two, hence about to block the oncoming traffic and causing more danger fo ... [more]

A vehicle giving sufficient overtaking space in this highly problematic stretch of road due to the parked cars. The fact that the overtaking car is going onto the other side of the road demonstrates why car parking / stopping on the left ne ... [more]

Very useful bit of cycle lane which ensures that cars don't block the road for cyclists as the road curves off to the left. Also, good quality new cycle parking on the left.

A family of cyclists using the pavement, possibly because they feel there is insufficient road space to travel safely due to the parked cars.

Very overgrown vegetation.

Very overgrown vegetation swamping the path to Granchester.

Permissive path notice.

Getting a bike through this area is not easy!

This row of car parking for 5 cars outside CB2 cafe needs to be removed. Cars almost always enter the cycle lane despite oncoming cyclists. There is other short-stay parking in the area, and a car park across the road. There is also a bad s ... [more]

One of the highest quality, smoothest, longest bike paths in the UK. It's half of a dual carriageway closed when the motorway opened (the other half is still a road). This is also probably the highest altitude bike path in the UK.

What possible reason could there be for adding a bollard here, directly next to a fence? See also photo #8778 .

Is there really a need for ELEVEN bollards/posts? This is hardly the 'accessible, barrier-free environment' required by government policy.
