They have nappy pins cycle racks in Wales, too :( Note also the cycleway coming off from the road.

Wide pavement and cycleway in Cardiff. This is at the end of a boulevard which has nice wide pavements, but a cycleway which sometimes encounters pointless obstructions.

I think this is a bit of a dangerous corner, because it is 'blind' when cycling out of the tunnel.

Resurfaced path.

The surface of this cycleway was jointly funded by Sustrans and Cambridgeshire County Council. It was of good quality, made of a self-concreting surface which re-sets itself after rain. By 2012 it is still holding up very well.

A superb example of why underpasses are hated, and such a bad solution to crossing a road. Thes obstructions are some of the most severe and hostile for both pedestrians and cyclists in Cambridge.

Cycle Lane sign in the distance. Apparently these signs have to be installed at all junctions where a side road meets a road that has a cycle lane.
