I remember this rather cycle unfriendly obstruction from a year ago. As I dismounted to push my bike under the bar some dog walkers looked at me, and I sensed they wanted to tell me I wasn't allowed to cycle along here.

Extremely narrow!

Slightly bizarre shared use markings.

Horrendous, horrible traffic in the rush hour along a thoughoughly pedestrian hostile ring road with large sweeping access lanes for motorists.

What a pedestrian hostile place to close this.

cycle parking

It was not wholly clear that cyclists are prohibited in the centre.

The sign here appears to be part of a cycling diversion - but I got hopelessly lost trying to follow it and this was the last sign I saw. sign

The no entry versus contraflow cycle lanes here are very ambiguous. sign

I think this is where cycleway will eventually connect.

An awkward stile. cycleway

It's hard to believe, but the cycle path really does suddenly end like this! The shared use sign has been turned round, presumably in disgrace. It looks like they are expecing a tunnel link through to the car park area beyond.

Huntingdon welcome sign

The road sign here is pretty amazing I think! Although its trying to make a point, I think it is ambiguous to a quick glance - is that a four lane highway with alternate flow directions????? Spittals Way, Huntingdon

A rather attractive milestone near the Alconbury airfield. cycleway

Open views of the farmland.

Ermine Street - shared use cycleway.

Thatching services advertised on this tin roofed building!
