Mandatory Cycle Lane on East Road. Car parking on lay-by invades MCL with rear wheel right on top of the bicycle painted on the floor. This is the part where bicycle remerge onto the road from the pavement. The obstructing car (number plate ... [more]
East Road. Cyclists leaving the subway cycleway bypass round the Newmarket Rd roundabout have to stear around street furniture. This rainy day Mr Mondeo took care of blocking the dropped kerb, despite of the big bicycle painted right in fro ... [more]
Dismounting on a cycleway. For drivers this is the equivalent of having to get out of your car and push! This obstruction badly lets down the Cambridge South East Cycle Route - which was built in the early 1990s as an alternative the the b ... [more]
Roadworks sign - was anyone aware that this is a contraflow cycle lane, so cyclists are now forced into the path of oncoming taxis from the station, SUVs from St Mary's school etc ?
Over-grown bypass lane on 60mph section of road! The Fulbourn 30mph zone should be extended beyond the pinch-point, and the bypass lane kept clear. Reported to County Council.
The dis-used bus stop is too narrow, cars park on the pavement with one side and obstruct the mandatory cycle lane on the other. This picture was taken on day two after Ian Greasley forwarded message to the "Local Authority Parking Enforcem ... [more]
Pram arms on the cycleway (note the cycle symbol on the ground and the directional signage in the distance.)
Pram arms on bollards, and then a fence. They really don't want you to get past here, and the graffiti says "Time to die".
Taxis parked on the cycle contraflow on Mawson Road. The blue one was still there two hours later.
Taxi parked on the cycle contraflow on Mawson Road - whilst driver was presumably in the kebab shop on the corner.
Taxi parked on the cycle contraflow on Mawson Road - whilst driver was presumably in the kebab shop on the corner. This is a recurrent problem.
Cyclist using the pedestrian zebra crossing to avoid electrical sub-station which totally blocks the cycle crossing.
An electrical sub-station planted right across a cycle crossing - not the Mairie d'Annecy's finest achievement.
Space available in the delivery bay for the lorry shown in #13666 (and viable in the background here)
Reinstated bus stop outside Maplins on Regent St. This was originally removed to make space for the bollard installation but was reinstated just before the bollard came into use. Note that a bus stopped here effectively blocks the road.
MF 52 OPP cheerfully blocks the new north-bound bus and cycle lane in St Andrew's Street on the day it opens (despite there being space in the loading bay 50m along the road - see #13667)

Lots of anal No Balls Games signs in this area. This wouldn't be much use as a cut-through for cyclists, but the bollard is hostile to wheelchairs, buggies and even pedestrians.
Barriers have appeared within the last year to block what should be a useful cycle route parallel to Newington Butts and Kennington Park Road, especially as a car-free housing development is to be built just south of here.
The Westminster Bridge Road crossing leads to this, outside the former County Hall - possibly the crappest cycle facility in London.
Flooded contraflow cycle lane on Tennis Court Road, forcing cyclists into the path of oncoming cars.
Overgrown foliage blocking the cyclepath/footpath beside the A10 (just west of the M11).
Diversion sign, presumably intended to advise motored vehicles, completely blocking cycle lane on East Road A603, just outside Grafton Centre
Parisian white-van-man sometimes stops half-blocking the cycle lane - cyclists naturally tend to go around the outside, even when the gutter isn't flooding.
Foreign coach has parked overnight here several nights running. The car has had to drive on the wrong side of the road on a blind corner to overtake.
Parking in the entrance of Woodhead Drive off Milton Road restricts lane width near the traffic island, making a nasty pinch-point for cyclists
Overnight coach parking in Woodhead Drive causes visibility problems on a blind corner.
Selfish parking doesn't leave much room for this cyclist to avoid oncoming bikes. Cyclists with trailers would find it difficult to get through. Pavement blocked for pedestrians too.
Selfish parking blocks the cycle route at a busy junction with poor sight-lines. The blue car means that cyclists from this direction cannot keep left.
Yellow markings on the pavement showing delivery prohibitions. Lorries unloading from Mill Road causing delays, despite this being legal. Over time, the Council need to find ways to reduce this problem by making space in the side streets ... [more]
