Terry Clark and David Hembrow before starting a ride from Lands End to John o'Groats in July 2006. There is a website describing the entire journey here: http://www.freewebtown.com/lejog/triplog.html
Monument to Car Culture. A sign on the way into Newcastle says there are 10,000 public car parking spaces.
