Photo Number #9686
In this photo I've tried to capture all in one shot how utterly inadequate the cycle lane is on the Nortbound Side of Regent Street here.
Starting on the left the narrow cycle lane dives into the gutter, then the back of a loading bay. After the loading bay the cycle lane magically reappears and then becomes a bollard bypass lane. See nearby photos for more details.

An excellent little cycle parking area on the entrance to Parkers Piece. Good quality, well spaced stands, and there is even a handy railing if they are all full up! This is the only cycle parking I have found in Cambridge to date where ... [more]

This piece of road is a bus stop and a loading bay at the same time. Cyclists have just been diverted off the main traffic stream into the gutter here.

This is the 'Cambridge Blue' sandwich van parked outside their shop in Regent Street. I've spoken to the driver before and tried in vain to explain it is illegal. He says 'everyone does it'. Were it not for the 'cycle crossing' there would ... [more]
