Maids Causeway toucan crossing with segregated parallel approaches, dual sets of call buttons and induction loops to detect cyclists.

The crossing itself is not segregated but because of the approach arrangement, conflict between cyclists and pedestrians is minimised.

One of the case studies used TRL Report 277 in prepartion for the DfT Traffic advisory leaflet 4/98.

This crossing has nearside (Puffin style) crossing indicators only.
