Dismounting on a cycleway. For drivers this is the equivalent of having to get out of your car and push!
This obstruction badly lets down the Cambridge South East Cycle Route - which was built in the early 1990s as an alternative the the busy Mill Road.
Wouldn't something like #9156 be better, or no bollards at all?
At last its been fixed - see #12012, but this has since been converted to #13012.

At long last the severe barriers have been removed. There is plenty of visibility here so there should be no problems. At the far end of this valuable short-cut there is a generous chicane (see #12013) which will deter use by motor cycles. ... [more]

A deflection barrier has now appeared here again. Briefly there were no barriers at all, but it was felt that was too risky. The story starts at #6603.
