The cyclepath connecting Victoria Avenue with Milton Road, over the Mitcham's Corner island, contains two right-angled turns (one at the south end, immediately by the Chesterton-Road traffic light, the other west of this).
These 90-degree turns are extremely difficult to make on a bicycle, especially as this is a two-way cycle-path, in an otherwise pedestrian sidewalk.
It would ease cycling if the cycle path's southern end were moved westwards so that it could be entered and exited without having to perform any turns at all.
This would also reduce cyclist/pedestrian contention at the light-controlled crossing.
