Queens Road is another of Royston's problematic one way streets. It which SHOULD give cyclists a nice route through to Melbourn Road but instead is an unpleasant rat run.

This needs to be closed to through traffic and restored to 2 way flow, with continuous access for cyclists and pedestrians through the closure.

The "cycle lane" is only 850 mm wide, less than half the recommended (2.0m) width and barely wide enough to contain the yellow lines. Look how much space is actually available compared to what the car needs. There is no excuse for it. ... [more]

Racks set much too close end to end force wheels to overlap. Difficult to park and with risk of damage when extracting. Unforgiveable. Cycle parking is so easy to get right.
