Scenes during the Mill Road Winter Fair 2007: large numbers of people walking but car traffic still dominating the area. Perhaps Mill Road should be shut to through-traffic on the day of the fair, to prevent this atrociously poor pedestrian environment?

Deliveries on Mill Road cause a blockage. However, there is probably little alternative given the layout of the streets. It is essential that any new planning permissions allocate off-street delivery areas.

The No-Left turn except cycles sign is in conflict with the "Ahead only" road marking and "Ahead only" blue sign.

Merely weeks after installation of the excellent new cycle parking on Kingston Street, it is now overflowing due to demand. More needed, possibly at the expense of an odd car parking space.

These No Entry signs are due to be replaced a year after the political decision was made. (We are told the budget for these projects was raided to rescue other departments within the County Council.)

Low-flying motorcycle signs - ie. "No motor vehicle" signs have now replaced the No Entry signs.

Sorry its not a great photo because of the glare and lack of focus. However it does show a disabled person, a pushchair and a right-turning cyclist (who's stopped to wait for a gap in traffic) negotiating this busy junction.

New rounded-A cycle racks on Kingston Street - after 4 years of campaigning.

A really nasty stretch of Mill Road just past Kingston Street. Usually has cars illegally parked on the yellow lines and half-way across the pavement, and fast traffic.
