Showing photos near to this one.

I found this while going through old documents as part of a clear out. It shows a photo of the newly installed Gonville Place crossing, and it reads:
Cambridge South East Cycle Route
Opening 28th November 1989 by Robert Atkins - Minister for Roads and Traffic

The new Parkers Piece side approach to the Gonville Place Toucan. Cluttered with poles. Can't see the crossing indicators (nearside only) which are hidden from view on approach.

Totally unnecessary use of a temporary 'cyclists dismount' sign at the new Gonville Crossing while under construction. No motorist would withstand such nonsense.
