University Sports Ground car park at corner of Adams Road & Wilberforce Road (01223) 336596 bookings at sport.cam.ac.uk
St Lukes C Of E Primary School
Frenchs Road, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, CB4 3JZ 01223 566879 has a hard playground as well as lots of playing field, but today is probably their last day of term so arranging holiday access may be a problem
Large car park at Cambridge City Football Club off S end of Milton Rd (01223 357973 for permission) = a bit of a push from Shire Hall, but hopefully lots of space even tho' it is used as weekday overflow for office workers - generally car movements are limited to beginning and end of day)
On the left the path across Coldhams Common on the right a wide road alongside Abbey Swimming pool that is a good area for begginner cycle training. Behing the photographer is the BMX track.
Romsey Rec - baseball ground - an area used for Adult Cycle Training control skills training and assessment.
'No access to footbridge' - it's a cycle bridge! and this could develop into a useful cycle route.
An adult cycle training - bikeability - lesson in progress on this otherwise traffic free roadway near the station.
Every house has railings outside, which are usable as cycle parking. However, proper, covered cycle parking, designed for the job, should have been provided.
The drained learners pool makes a useful, if slightly bizarre, place to practice Bikeability Level 1 Control Skills.
